See How Jonathan’s Hometown, Otuoke Has Turned Into A Swamp

The road linking Onuebum and Otuoke, the hometown of former President Goodluck Jonathan, which hosts a Federal University with a large student population, in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, has been submerged by flood.

For many motorists coming from the Azikoro axis of Yenagoa, the State capital, to Ogbia town, the road is the shortest route.

Commercial vehicles doing their business the route through the Azikoro axis, are now forced to go through the Elebele-Emeyal flank, while most natives have resorted to the use of big trucks and bigger vehicles to commute from the community.

Several car owners were seen making a U-turn on getting to the flooded portion of the road for fear of being swept off by the current, when reporters visited the area.
