Diezani Madueke Now Running After EFCC Chairman, Lamorde

The immediate past petroleum minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke during whose tenure several allegations of corrupt practices in the industry have been flying around is literally running from pillar to post, apparently in search of reprieve.

The highly influential minister in former president Goodluck Jonathan’s government is said to have stepped up efforts, playing out to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), buzzing the phones line of the agency’s Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde.

The first civilian Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, has disclosed that the immediate past First Lady, Patience Jonathan, never wanted her husband, Goodluck Jonathan in politics.

He recalled Patience initially stood against the ex-president ambition as a deputy governorship candidate in 1998, ahead of the elections in 1999.

In what could be described as tragic moment, an auto crash claimed the lives of a couple, and eight other staunch members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) traveling from the monthly camp meeting on the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway to Ondo town.

Three of the victims, a Zonal Pastor in Ondo Province 2, Pastor Dominic Folorunso Akinseye, 52; his wife, Beatrice; and Pastor Festus Akinsoyinu Fadakinte, were staff of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

Ajulo, who was making a critique of the President's policy highlights as contained in his speech said for failing to speak on such burning issues like unpaid salaries of Nigerian workers and how to improve the socio-economic conditions of the ordinary man, Buhari seemed far from reality.

A terrible day being May 31st for the people of Onitsha environs as a tanker loaded with petroleum failed break and lost control.

The Tanker is said to have made its way into Upper Iweka park before it fell and exploded which caught up with about 12 to 14 buses loaded with passengers. Some people standing by where the accident occurred where also affected.

President Buhari, VP Osinbajo Declare Their Assets

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have declared their assets in line with provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Buhari’s Head of Media Team, Garba Shehu.

The statement said that the Code of Conduct Bureau on Friday acknowledged the submission of the two leaders’ assets declaration forms.
