Just Now: Delta Election Tribunal Throws Out Labour Party Candidate, Ogboru's Case Against Okowa

The petition filed by the Labour Party Governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, challenging the election of the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was on Monday dismissed by the Delta State Governorship election Tribunal sitting in Asaba, the State capital for lack of merit.

The court also directed Ogboru to pay the sum of N50,000 each to the three respondents in the case. The first respondent in the case is the Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa while the second and third respondents are the PDP and the electoral commission, INEC. 

Meanwhile, the court is presently delivering the judgment in the case between APC governorship candidate, Chief O’tega Emerhor challenging the incumbent Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. Details Later...
