The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, who made this known in a statement issued yesterday in Asaba, revealed that after eating the cake, the victim started behaving abnormally and was admitted to hospital for treatment.
The Police Spokeswoman said, a male student reported to the police in Abraka on Sept. 2 that the suspect gave the cake to the 17-year old female student. She said, Bassey during interrogation, confessed that he added Indian hemp to the ingredients used in baking the cake. Investigation, Kalu said is still in progress.
