Efforts to push production capacity to between 80 to 90 per cent before the second quarter of 2016, the Managing Director of the Kaduna Refinery and Petro-Chemical Company, Saidu Mohammed, said are in place.

The plant is producing about 1.6 million liters of Premium Motor Spirit daily at 60 per cent production capacity, The Kaduna refinery is a three-in-one plant operation – The fuel plant, which refines Nigerian crude, the Loops Plant which refines imported crude and the alkaline basin plant.
