They are from Tiwi Islands, a small remote community in northern Australia where this ladies are hoping and fighting for their life to live freely as females and be accepted in their society.

It is believed that in many remote Indigenous communities as that, being transgender often means defying rigidly observed cultural and religious practices defined by male and female gender roles. But this ladies are hoping for a day they will walk the streets of their little Island without getting killed or violently attacked by mobs.
