The major opposition party in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday, accused President Muhammadu Buhari of destroying the economy since assuming office on May 29.
The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, said the "shambolic state" of the economy from May 29 till date, represented the worst in the nation’s contemporary history.
The party said, official reports showed that the last three months under the APC-led government had brought a sudden decline in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with attendant losses and hardship to the citizens.

Metuh said, the dance stance of the present government not to constitute a full cabinet and precise fiscal policy are taking serious effect on the economy and the polity in general.
The party in conclusion stated that Nigerians are becoming tired and weary of the diversions and propaganda of creating imaginary achievements.
