Do I Sense Crisis? APC Would Now Input In President Buhari's Appointments And Exercise Party Supremacy - Oyegun

The national chairman the All Progressives Congress, party APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyengun, has said henceforth, the party would participate more actively in subsequent appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari and apply the principle of party supremacy.

Buhari's latest appointments have been widely criticized with many saying they were lopsided in favor of the North.

Speaking in an interview yesterday in Abuja, Oyegun said, although the party was not really involved in Buhari's latest appointments, it was his right to appoint his personal staff.

Responding to the widespread misgivings over the appointments, the APC Chairman said that it is too early and superficial to say the appointments were lopsided, stressing that though the party leaders were marginally involved in those appointments, the party will henceforth be fully involved in the subsequent appointments. He appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience.
