Women’s World Cup: England Finishes In Third Place

England’s female national team’s coach, Mark Sampson thinks his players should be regarded as legends, based on the fact that, they’ve been the only team to come close to a title since the men side in 1966 having beaten the Germans 1-0 to win the Bronze medal in Canada.

Sampson also added; "It's special to be talked about even in the same breath as the team from 1966.

There are moments from that tournament back in '66, the Hurst hat-trick, the Bobby Moore tackle, and the players will be remembered forever for some of the moments in this tournament."
