The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) are now investigating Nigerian singer, Davido for showcasing hard drugs in his new music video "Fans Mi".
In the video, there is a scene where we see Davido discussing with a man over a briefcase of dollars and a bag full of parcels of hard drugs.
Speaking on the decision to put Davido under investigation, NDLEA’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said in a mail exchange with Sunday Telegraph, “The agency considers the musical video ‘Fans Mi’ inappropriate and indecent.
It has the tendency to negatively influence and induce drug use and trafficking. Besides, it is counter-productive on the campaign against drug production, trafficking and abuse. The agency is investigating the matter and will take necessary action".
They ended by saying that this may be the end of his musical career because if he is found guilty of promoting hard drugs, he WILL be arrested.
