Ebuka who was acting under the influence of alcohol and hard drug armed himself with a machete hidden under his cloth, intended to kill the teacher, identified as Ike, but was however overpowered by students and teachers who disarmed him and later handed him over to the police.
While lamenting his action, Ebuka said he was not himself and could not describe what came over him. He however denied the claim that he wanted to kill the teacher, stressing that when his girlfriend informed him of being punished by a teacher in the school, he decided to avenge her cause.
