The just past Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, who bows out of office today has said he will return to his lecturing job at the Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
Prof. Jega was the Vice-Chancellor of the university until his appointment as INEC chairman on June 30, 2010.
He is an alumnus of BUK, and he will resume teaching at the university after a successful five-year term in INEC.
He will be remembered for conducting one of the most peaceful general elections in Nigeria in 2015.
