Oh Wow! Power Generation Hits 4, 545 MW For The First Time In 3 Years

The nation has achieved a new electricity transmission peak of 4,545 mega watts through its national network, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said. The last time the country recorded 4,517MW electricity was on December 23, 2012.

According to Seun Olagunju, the General Manager, Public Affairs, of TCN, the feat was achieved at 21.45hrs on Monday, July 13, 2015.

Though the impact of the record success is yet to be felt by electricity consumers across the country, the TCN assured that it will continue to work towards enhancing its power wheeling capability and reliability of the network to be able to deliver more quality electricity from the generation plants to the Distribution Companies nationwide.
