Like Seriously?..U.S Government Say They Have Been Searching For Chibok Girls All This Time

Hmm..oko oo.. So, the USA government is now saying that it has not forgotten about the abducted Chibok School girls,. They are even adding that the girls have been a very high priority for them. Read the whole story below;

The Commander of the United States Africa Command (USAAFRICOM) General David Rodriguez and Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S Department of State, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, made the statement in a joint online press conference on Wednesday. 

As journalists from Africa in a virtual interactive interview continued to ask about the missing girls, the U.S government officials stated that the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls is "high priority for their government" and commended President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife for visiting their families and letting them know they have not been forgotten. 

They said: “The U.S has continued to share intelligence with the Nigerian leadership, about those Chibok girls as well as other people who have been taken by Boko Haram, and we continue to do that, as far as the effort, it didn’t yield getting back all the girls, many of the people held by Boko Haram have been freed over time and we continue to pursue efforts to get most of the Chibok girls back.” 

They continued: “This has been an extremely high priority for the U.S government to assist in bringing these girls home, …We will not let up on our efforts, we will continue to work with the government, we commend President Buhari and his wife for visiting the families of the Chibok girls and letting them know that we have not forgotten about them.” 

Responding to a question on whether the US will support the Buhari-led administration with equipment in fighting insurgency they said: “President Buhari is going to be in Washington later this month for meetings with the administration and we will have discussions with him on what we can do to assist Nigeria and their effort to fight against Boko Haram, part of that discussion will be how we can provide the equipment and support that Nigerians require".

I honestly have heard nothing about them helping the girls for months now, yet they are saying it has been high priority.
