According to a statement by INEC’s Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Dr. Chris Iyimoga, in Abuja on Friday, primaries for the elections shall be held on or before August 23, 2015 and September 5, 2015, for Kogi and Bayelsa states respectively, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2014 (as amended).
However, while Governor Seriake Dickson is facing internal rebellion within his party in Bayelsa State, Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State on the other hand is battling with the All Progressives Congress, which has made serious incursion into the state as it had the upper hand in the State during the last general elections.
