The Management of Kano Pillars FC on Monday announced the sack of the club’s technical adviser, Okey Emordi, with immediate effect.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the sack of Emordi is contained in a statement by Malam Kabiru Baita, the Chairman of the club.
It stated that the sack of the technical adviser was as a result of the club’s poor performance in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League season.
“Following the poor performance of the team, the club’s management, after deliberation on the matter decided to relieve the coach of his appointment with immediate effect,’’ the statement stated.
The statement stated that the management of the club thanked Emordi for his services and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Kano Pillars have 27 points and occupy ninth position in the table after week 19 match. (NAN)
