A First Bank branch in Okene, Kogi State was today, July 31 robbed by five armed men, leaving two policemen dead.
The robbers were said to have stormed the bank premises around 8.55am, shooting sporadically to create a panic atmosphere as workers and customers simmered.
According to the state's Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi,Shola Adebayo, one the police officers was shot dead, while the other died as he was being transported to the hospital.
He said investigations into the attack has commenced.
Well,,what I still dnt understand is..why would a financial institution were millions are kept is always poorly secured..security system in our banks is zero.....R.I.P to d unlucky officers
