The prosecution led by Mr Adebayo Haroun, had during the trial told the court that Ibiam who is a neighbor and a church member of the victim's family had unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim on 12 occasions in a shop and in a neighbor 's house.
The victim who referred to Ibiam's genital as "tomtom" all through her testimony said the convict used to give her garri and money before asking her to sit on his laps and start touching her.
The convict denied the charge. Dr Adefunke Adeoye of Orile-Agege General Hospital, a prosecution witness told the court that examination carried out on the victim revealed sexual assault and broken hymen.
