I brought you an earlier report that traders in Anambra State under the aegis of the Amalgamated Market Traders Association of Anambra (AMATAS) embarked on a demonstration throughout the state to protest the alleged transfer of Boko haram prisoners to the state.
These are photos taken from the Onitsha protest at the Onitsha-Owerri expressway where youths also joined the traders in disagreeing with the planned move.
In Awka, the protesters at the Eke Awka market along Nnamdi Azikiwe Avenue were dispersed by the police as they approached the Regina Caeli junction. However there were still pockets of protests in the capital city.
