Buhari Appoints New Accountant General Of The Federation

A serving director in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Ahmed Idris, was on Thursday appointed the new Accountant General of the Federation by President Muhammadu Buhari.

A statement by the Director of Communications of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Haruna Imrana, on Thursday in Abuja announcing the appointment, added that the appointment was with immediate effect from June 25, 2015. 

Idris who was the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development until his new appointment, hails from Kano State and was born on November 25, 1960.
