In Gombe: Dankwambo Re-Elected

Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has won the gubernatorial election in the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate polled a total of 285,369 votes to defeat the All Progressive Congress’ Inuwa Yahaya’s who polled 205,132 votes

He won in ten out of the eleven local government areas of the state. Returning Officer, Professor Saminu Ibrahim said Gombe State has a total of 1,102,853 registered voters with 535,081 of them accredited. Of the 506,768 voters that came out, a total of 493,611 valid votes were recorded and 13,151 were declared invalid.
