According To Vanguard..
Vanguard gathered from a reliable source that aggrieved locals in the area, which is the home town of Governor Gabriel Suswam, razed the office at about 8pm, in protest of last Saturday’s general election results purportedly released by the office.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of INEC in the state, Mr. Louis Ochai confirmed the development, describing it as unfortunate and deplorable.According to him, “the action may not be unconnected with the said result that INEC released in the area which actually did not go down with the people who are claiming that the result was skewed.”
Ochai said, “by tomorrow we should be able to get the full details of the unfortunate development, but for now the matter is being handled as a security issue; it is however regrettable.
Attempts to get the Police side of the story failed as the telephone lines of the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Assistant Superintendent, ASP, Austin Ezeani were both switched off.“We just pray that our sensitive materials were not destroyed in he inferno.” Ochai added.
Dis is not aeptable @all. I thik INEC has not done well to secure their offices, knowing fully well things like dis can happen. Hmmm! "Uwaifo don talk e own o".
