Up Naija: Woman Spotted Selling Akara In Brazil

Recipe taken to Brazil by slaves from West Africa, Akara is sold on the streets of Brazil. It is called Acarajé. 

Bear in mind that many black slaves in Salvador are from Lagos that is why the culture is very similar to Osun tradition, including their food and Do you know that "samba dance" was culled from Yoruba?

  4. I 'm not surprised. They are/have strong 'Ifa' worshippers there, so Akara shouldn't be strange, even Ekuru. ...all na food for the gods deity.
