The delegation was led by the presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari along with his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Other members of the party were also in attendance including the party’s national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the former Governor of Osun State, Bisi Akande.

Championing the cause for the presidential candidate the party’s national leader, Tinubu revealed Muhammadu Buhari’s initial reluctance to run in the elections.
“We begged Muhammadu Buhari to contest again,” he said in Yoruba. “Nigeria is challenged and we present to you a great leader who has the ability to think and do and equals to performance. Buhari is the man that can deliver because he is honest, he has integrity.”
Muhamamdu Buhari himself then took to the stage, reiterating his commitment to restoring security, power supply, and infrastructure.
