Where Have We Got It Wrong In Nigeria? By Adesina Oluwaseun

Nigeria the Giant of African and pride of Africa among other Continents with abundant natural resources that can cater for its Generations yet Unborn, the country in which other countries survive on with its human and Material resources, O blessed Nigeria a country who gain its Independence on oct 1st 1960. In which its citizens always pride its self among commitee of Nations but now we are a laughing stock and public latrine among neighboring countries and other western countries.

Where have we got it wrong in Nigeria? Were we celebrate Mediocrity, Corruption instead of hard Work and diligence in our educational sector, were we don't believe in our own dear intelligence to pass exams again rather find every short cut inn passing exams, even parents aiding malpractices in enabling their children pass exams and girls have to sleep with their lecturers to pass exams and the guys have to join a cult group in order to pass exams, while Jamb and WAEC exam fee is synonymous to school fee's in the university, in which 20% manage to pass annually or gain admission into the University, were strike is now inculcated into our higher institutions curriculum.

Where have we got it wrong in Nigeria? Were lives is now compared to that of a Mosquitos, were the lives of its Manpower and future leaders (youth) is not value nor respected again, were the youth are not engaged positively towards a brighter future ahead of them by the government, were unemployment rate is alarming and growing faster than the Ocean, in which private organization now prefer to employ foreigners to do minor jobs in there organizations rather than Nigerians handling such jobs.

Where have we got it wrong in the area of security? Were innocent blood are been shed each day, were the children are not safe again, were bomb blast is gradually becoming a way of life for the Nigerian Masses, kidnapping as become a legalize business for jobless youth and terrorism fastest way to get a job in Nigeria, what is really wrong, were we can't be confident of our Military men again, when it comes to the issue of security, when as things gone so worst to these extent, that our police force is known for the highest bidder, were corruption is now part of their duty.

Where have we got it wrong in our health Sector? Were our leaders don't even have confidence in our Medical practitioners and Facilities again, were just a symptoms of malaria they are flown abroad for medical treatment, were the Masses are dying each seconds as a results of lack of proper medical facilities, were India is the Annex hospital for the upper class in the Nigeria society, were Government owned hospitals is more expensive than the Private hospitals, were drugs cannot be bought by the masses due to high prices of those drugs in most governmental hospitals.

As Nigerian, these is not the best time to lay an accusing finger on an individual but a time were all Nigerian should not let ethnicity, Religion, politics of greed and Nepotism destroy us as a Nation but rather we should rally round our leaders in showing them the Necessary support in transforming Nigeria into a Nation were every Nigerian will be proud off in years to come.

God bless Good people of Nigeria.
God bless the Energetic youth of Nigeria.
God bless Nigeria.

  3. Simple, bad leadership with spirit of greed, avarice and sentiment. Leadership that was never people oriented, but for a few. Our leaders right from the onset have been our problem.
