I commend the Moroccan government for putting her people first because an event as big as AFCON would have brought football lovers from all across the continent and perhaps, Morocco, by her refusal to host the tournament admitted that she was incapable of putting in place adequate measures to ensure that the disease does not find its way and fester in her dear nation. The goodies that the Moroccan government lost in revenue was not worth putting the lives of her people at risk; in this, Morocco put her people's interests first.
Can the same be said for Nigeria? A country reeling from the throes of selfishness which continues to be the bane of the country's existence. Day-in-day out, we hear of the atrocities being committed by the Boko Haram sect, which would be proud to know it is now the 4th deadliest terrorist group in the world, people are now afraid to live in their homes or even sleep at night for fear of being attacked in the North east where these insurgents carry out a bulk of their terror activities.

Isn't this the time for Nigerians to band together and find a collective solution to this menace as against politicizing it, dividing the nation while the same nation is burning before their very eyes? Can they just eschew their interests and put the nation first for once in their lives? They should have it at the back of their minds that if Nigeria is allowed to go to ruins, neither them nor their descendants will be able to bring it back together again, and there would be no Nigeria for them to rule. Politics of sentiments should be put aside and one of growth adopted so that our beloved nation can move out of the darkness it is mired in.
You Can , I can , we all can make Nigeria a fruitful Nation , if we all shun our selfish interests and put the interest of the nation as a priority in all we do .
God bless Nigeria.
