Is A Husband Being Selfish When He Insists on Eating Freshly Cooked Meals Everyday?

Many of you would have heard stories from wives who say their husbands do not eat leftover meals. That is, for example, he does not eat the same soup or meal twice. It has to be freshly cooked by her and served everyday.

So I threw this at some of my colleagues, the man simply blurted out angrily that some men are very selfish. The female said, that husband must be a joker, that after she stresses herself out at work and returns, he expects her to be cooking soup everyday for him. I kept insisting that they look at it from both different viewpoints. What of a woman whose hubby must take breakfast before leaving for work everyday? Does that make the man selfish too?

I believe that marriage is all about compromise and sacrifice. Each couple's needs differ and meeting each other's needs varies at different levels. Love helps us keep that balance. So back to my title question, Is a husband being selfish when he insists on eating freshly cooked meals everyday? Abeg share your thoughts with me on this one.

  2. To me a man that demands for freshly cooked food on daily basis is not only selfish but wicked, because he doesn't think about the stress the wife go through.

  3. It all depends.
He is nt if d wife is a stay at home wife. He is if d wife works.....especially d 9-5 jobs. In d end, it's all about perspective.

  4. If a man eats breakfast every morning before leaving for work is not bad but demanding for fresh food and even fresh soup haba! The man is selfish #fullstop#.... even a house wife might not be able ace that not to talk of working class. Na only food she go dey cook? Wont she do other house chores... even if she have house help there are tins a woman of the house has to do herself.

  5. Is all about individual, relationship is a mutual understanding, if it was discussed and agreed upon, then I see no selfish act there, it takes 5mins to warm a frozen soup, also to make a spaghetti is she's tired
