Please keep me anonymous I have been spending time with a man that is about 8 years older than me. When we first started talking every thing was perfect. We weren't in a relationship but we were both content with what we were. We have many things in common and its some times scary. He is completely different from any other man I've met. As time has gone by he doesn't do as much as he use too. Neither one of us are dating any one, and both of us had just gotten out of long relationships around September. Ive asked him before what I was to him and he said " just a really close friend" but his actions are saying there's more than that. Im confused because I dont want to try and waste my time dating if I only want him, but I also dont want to waste my time if there's not a chance of us becoming a couple. I guess my question is " Should I leave him alone because I want more and he says he doesn't, or should I hold on because his actions are saying there's more too it than just friends?" Please help.

ReplyDeleteFor me, age does not matter, if you've noticed him not doing as much as he used to, then ask questions, sure you're close friends, if you think there is more than just being close friends then maybe you need to make him ask you or lead him to do so. Dating someone is not a waste of time if you truly feel something. Do not just follow your heart, ensure you know what you want and then use your head. Sometimes we really need to ask for what we want, maybe he's just a shy guy and can't really show or don't know how to say much you mean to him. You don't have to go, you can still keep your friendship if it means anything to you. I hope this would help a little.
