ADVICE NEEDED: Reader Who Bleached Her Skin Needs Urgent Advice (PHOTO INCLUDED)

Hello Chi-Chi Please I need urgent help from your readers.2 years ago I got dumped by my boyfriend and he left me for a very fair girl.That affected my self esteem and I decided to bleach my dark skin .I was hoping he would come back to me but he never did. 

After using creams, I was advised to take bleaching injection to lighten me from inside. They say it won't make me have black knuckles.The lady who took me there used to be as dark as Lupita but looked like Beyonce. I was advised to take 2 shots. 

After that I became so light skinned but wanted to be lighter and ended up taking up to 6.Now I'm so light that my old school mates can't recognize me.They didn't tell me I have to keep maintaining it over the years.

When I got lighter, many men were chasing me and didn't know my yellow was bleaching yellow. Now, I met a man who I've been dating for 4 months and he really loves me and has proposed to marry me.

Just last week, he was telling me how he hates women who bleach and that his friend married a yellow lady only to discover their child was so black. He thought she cheated on him and almost divorced her till she confessed the child was so dark because that was her real color.

My family have been advising me to tell him the truth now before he finds out later. I have deceived him for long because even when he asked for my throw back pictures, I photo-shopped them to look lighter.

Please should I confess to him that I'm a bleacher or just let him marry me first ..

God honours faith. Faith is crucial to our walk with God. You need faith to be born-again. You need faith to live a life that pleases God. You need faith to prosper as a true child of God. You need faith to be healthy and live long in the land of the living. You need faith to fulfil your destiny.

The problem with many people is not with their belief in God; it is with their failure to believe in themselves. Many people do not believe in their ability to do what the word of God says they can do. You must believe in yourself. One reason you must believe in yourself is because God believes in you. If God did not believe in you, He wouldn’t have created you in His own image or endowed you with His capability and qualities (Genesis 1:26-28). Begin to see yourself the way God sees you. You are a good product. God describes you as a good product in Genesis 1:31. God saw Moses and Gideon in better light than they saw themselves (Exodus 3:10-11, Judges 6:14-15). Many people are discouraged because of the way others see them. Are people seeing you as a never-do-well? Do not allow their opinion to determine your destiny. People saw Peter as a reed which is very unstable, but Jesus saw him as a stone which could be built upon (John 1:42). Stop seeing yourself the way others see you. Failure to believe in yourself can be disastrous. It can attract premature death. Many people have committed suicide because they no longer believed in themselves. The Israelites who did not believe in God and in themselves died in the wilderness (Numbers 14:27-31). When you believe in yourself, you are indirectly prolonging your life. Believe in yourself, no matter how discouraging your circumstances are. Another reason you must believe in yourself is because as a person, you will consistently act according to the way you see yourself. The Israelites were in their own sight as grasshoppers and therefore they could not move forward (Numbers 13:32-33). If you want to advance in life, you must see yourself in a positive light. The greatest service you can render yourself is to see yourself in a positive light. You should also endeavour to influence others positively. Help others to fulfil their destiny. Are you a source of encouragement or discouragement to others? Are you saying and doing things that will help others to believe in themselves? Believe in yourself and begin to identify people who should be mentored by you to fulfil their destiny. Be a positive light to your world.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) on Thursday in Abuja revealed that some Nigerian women now sell their private parts, wombs, ovaries and human eggs as commodities in the global bio‑technology market all in a bid to make quick money.

“Some scientists and dubious businessmen use members of the National Assembly to gain legal access to the wombs and ovaries of women and young girls. 

“It is becoming increasingly clear to us that even in Nigeria, our women have become the targets of all manners of intrigues, especially as their fertility is concerned. 

“Personal private parts of women, ranging from wombs, ovaries and human eggs risk being put up as commodities for sale at the global biotechnology market-places.”

President of CBCN and Archbishop of Jos, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, disclosed this at the International Family and Pro‑Life Conference tagged: “Witnesses to the dignity of every human life” in Abuja.

Speaking on the topic: “Catholic Church in Nigeria and the imperative of scaling up pro‑life activities across the country,” the Bishop revealed that most of the transactions were done with people who hold influential positions in the society.

“Regrettably, human life has become cheaper than a loaf of bread. From hijacking and loss of airborne planes to the avoidable mishaps of sinking of ships and ferries loaded with passengers, to the mindless wars and avoidable military conflicts, human lives are wantonly wasted everywhere, everyday in Nigeria,” the respected bishop cried out.

You signed-off to it that your nation will not have power, water, security and the simplest things almost all nations have, because you were going home that day with some mudu's of Oryza Sativa.

You gave victory to...

Boko Haram and armed robbers, pirates, kidnappers, corrupt officials, and every other stinking facet of society, just for a one-time 50 handfuls of rice, beggars dose.

You volunteered to be hungry for most of four years, once again, that you be full for ten days with that bag.

You decided to condemn your neighbor, your friends, your elders, the young and even your enemies to suffering for four more years that you may eat jollof for ten days.

I have just one question for you? I am not even asking how will you feel after you have eaten and passed-on the rice by the next week.

My question is - how will you feel if that bag fell off your head on your way home and all the rice mixed with dotti (dirt)?

My sister runs a business together with her husband but the whole business is in his name. Business bank account is solely in her husband's name. She told me the other day that they recently bought some plots of land and her husband had them put in his name alone!

Of all the things that could possibly go wrong in the future, what do you think about this arrangement please? For now, everything is perfect between them but should a wife allow her husband register a property they jointly own in his name alone?

Message:

A grave peril of Christian leadership is that of disqualification. Every Christian leader must be obedient, prayerful, watchful, temperate and self-disciplined so that after acting as a herald who bids others into the Kingdom of God, he himself should not miss Heaven. As a leader, it is possible to be disqualified by God. In 1 Samuel 15:20-24, we see Saul being disqualified by God:

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:23

No person is indispensable. As a Christian leader, you should always be conscious of the fact that God has substitutes. I pray that you will not be rejected by God in Jesus’ Name. One factor that is responsible for disqualification is disobedience. Sacrifice is good, but obedience is better than sacrifice. In our service to God, we should always bear in mind that what He requires from us is total obedience. Haphazard obedience is worse than outright disobedience. If you want to serve God and not be disqualified, you must be ready to obey everything the Lord asks you to do. Obey all His commandments regardless of whether they are convenient or not. Another stumbling block that leads to disqualification is carelessness. Many Christians are careless. They compromise their stand, yet they do not want to be disqualified. A careless and irresponsible servant might end up becoming disqualified by the Lord. In order not to be disqualified, you should watch and pray (Matthew 24:42). A Christian leader should be watchful and careful of all little foxes that destroy the vine. These include anger, bitterness, jealousy, inordinate ambition, strife, gluttony, lust, dishonesty, malice, not studying and obeying the word of God, impatience, talkativeness, etc. To avoid being disqualified by the Lord, we should live holy and practice the principle of self-assessment. Assess yourself on a daily basis to confirm that you are still in the Lord. Assess the motive behind your service, the level of your zeal, the level of commitment and your relationship with fellow Christians who are also serving the Lord. Does your relationship enhance the commitment of others to the service of the Lord? If the answer to this question is no, change. Are you drawing people to Heaven or to Hell by your behaviour? How watchful and prayerful are you?

Father, grant me the grace to be watchful against disqualification, in Jesus’ Name.

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Message:

It takes a loving father to give instructions and guidelines to his children. God demands absolute obedience to His instructions from all His children. There is always something to gain from God for obeying Him. This is because every instruction He gives has a promise attached to it.

One thing God desires from all His children is perfection. To be perfect means a state of being in complete conformity to God’s word. It denotes a state of being faultless, blameless or spotless and a state of being excellent (Daniel 6:3). Some people argue against perfection; they say all men are sinners and would therefore sin daily. This is not scriptural. God’s standard for everyone who is born-again is perfection. His standard of holiness and perfection remains the same. It was not higher under the Abrahamic covenant than it is under the new covenant. If God could help Abraham to be perfect, could He not also help believers in Christ today to be the same? Are you a believer in Christ? Then ask for the grace to be perfect. Holiness is the nature of God according to 1 Peter 1:15-16. Holiness is His heartbeat, and His desire is that we should be like Him in holiness. There are many lessons to learn from the Bible reading for today on how to be perfect. The first step to perfection is willingness and obedience. You must be willing and obedient to the word of God (Isaiah 1:19). That others are not living holy does not mean that a state of perfection is unattainable. Secondly, you must walk before God (Genesis 17:1). Be in the place where God can direct you. Be mindful to study His word and obey it (Joshua1:8). In addition, you must fellowship with Him and abide in His presence always (Psalm 91:1-2).

Genuine repentance is an indispensable condition for perfection. Whoever wants to be perfect must first and foremost repent from sin and be saved (John 3:17). He or she must also live a holy life by abstaining from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). As you go into the day, you should seek for perfection in your walk with God and decide to obey God’s word absolutely. What God requires of you on a daily basis is perfect obedience to His will. You should therefore stand perfect and complete in all His will.

28 year old Olympian and five-time U.S. national champion Alysia Montano ran an 800m race at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California, yesterday and people are now questioning if it is safe.

Alysia received a standing ovation after completing the race in 2 minutes, 32.13 seconds, 35 seconds slower than her personal best of 1:57.34, which she smashed back in 2010 in a race in Monaco.

"I've been running throughout my pregnancy and I felt really, really good during the whole process.' Alysia said after the race.

Message:

Light and darkness are antithetical. While light is welcome by everyone, darkness is shunned and rejected. Light is an illuminating agent. It affects everything and without it, there will be no life. Light is mostly used when referring to goodness and godliness. 1 John 1:5 reveals to us that God is light. This means whoever is born of God must reflect the attributes of light. A keen study of light reveals many attributes which believers should endeavour to reflect. One of such attributes is the wave. Simply put, a wave is a disturbance. Whoever is born of God is light, and because light has the nature of a wave, his or her life must be a disturbance to the works of darkness everywhere. Acts 4:15-17 is a classical example of a situation where believers reflected this attribute of light. Are you born of God? Then your life should challenge both the works and the workers of darkness. Another attribute of light is force. Light as a force causes movement or change. Everyone that is born of God is expected to shine by provoking positive change. You should be able to cause positive change and movement to the glory of God. You are expected to be a strong force of progress in your home, family, community, society, place of work, church and nation.

There is no denying the fact that light is life. Light is life to both plants and animals. While animals rely on plants and (sometimes) other animals for existence, green plants turn carbon dioxide and water into food using energy obtained from the light radiating from the sun. This process is known in biology as photosynthesis. Every child of God should radiate light and life, because in Jesus is life which is the light of men. John 1:4 says:

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

As a Christian, you have life, and this life is eternal. Moreover, this life is capable of making all impossibilities become possible. Going through Luke 10:19, we can deduce that light is power. Are you born of God? Rejoice! In you resides the power that upholds all things (Hebrews 1:3). You have been empowered by God to do the unimaginable for Him. I pray that no sickness, darkness or evil shall rule over you. Light reveals. Implicitly, light reveals specific information about a matter. The good news is that you should no longer operate in ignorance, because light exposes hidden things (Ephesians 5:13). Finally, light travels in a straight line. This denotes integrity, faithfulness and trustworthiness. If we operate as light, we will not be perverse or crooked in our ways.

Father, help me to always reflect all the attributes of light.

Pains associated with the woman’s menstrual bleeding varies from one woman to another. Some women are often paralyzed with pains at this time of the month, while some do not even experience any pain at all.

Healthy Eating PatternHealthy diets has a whole lot to do with enhancing the menstrual flow. Avoid the intake of too much greasy foods and some other unhealthy junks especially when your cycle is close. Eat fruits, vegetables and some other great supplements.

Exercise is keyWhether mild or heavy, a constant exercise routine helps in the alleviation of menstrual cramps. Although the pains might make you feel lazy and not motivated to work out, but you should be encouraged by knowing that when you do perform some form of exercise, the pain will get better.

Hot showerWhen you’re experiencing pains, having not a warm, but a hot shower can help a great deal. This helps calm some of the hormones in the system down, thereby giving you a lasting relief.

Wear loose clothesWhen you wear tight fitted attires, it joins all other factors in your body to give you more pains. Wear loose clothes that will make all your body parts free from any restraints.

It is true that menstrual pain get reduced and vanishes with age, but with the above tips, you can manage the pains that comes with womanhood well enough for you to have a happy monthly bleeding!

He received a ten-game ban in England for biting Ivanovic.

Stephen Keshi Confirms Babatunde is Out Due to Injury

Stephen Keshi, head coach of the Nigerian football team – Super Eagles, has confirmed in a post match interview that Michael Babatunde will likely not participate in the remaining matches at the ongoing FIFA World Cup .

Keshi said the midfielder will be undergoing surgery and may not be feature in the rest of Nigeria’s 2014 World Cup matches. Nigeria will meet France in the next match.

Babatunde sustained an injury on his hand after blocking a shot by Ogenyi Onazi which was goal bound, and he twisted his arm.

“It is sad that we may not see him play again in the World Cup. He is going for surgery. It is bad.” said Keshi.

Luis Suarez Finally Opens Up On Why He Bit Giorgio Chiellini

Uruguay’s striker, Luis Suarez has finally spoken on his alleged biting of Giorgio Chiellini in the match between Italy and Uruguay at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Liverpool striker was caught on camera biting the Italy defender during the match the South Americans won 1-0 courtesy of a solitary goal scored by Diego Godin.

While commenting on the incident in an interview conducted by local reporters after his country’s win which took them through to the knockout rounds, Suares played down the latest incident as ‘just something that happens on the pitch’.

The player who plays in the English Premier League, and who has twice been banned for biting an opponent, said: “These situations arise on the pitch, I’ve collided with his shoulder. It drove me a little crazy too, but these things happen on the pitch. There’s no need to make a story out of it.”

Football governing body, FIFA has confirmed disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the Uruguayan forward, who could be banned for up to two year over the incident.

Meanwhile, many football fans and pundits are united in their view Suarez should receive a lengthy ban for yet another apparent biting offence.

Former England defender Danny Mills has gone a step further – insisting the Uruguayan should be ‘thrown in jail and locked up forever’.

Michael Babatunde Breaks Arm After Blocking Shot From Onazi (SEE PHOTOS)

We saw 22 year old Super Eagles midfielder Michael Babatunde taken off in the second half of yesterday's game against Argentina with his arm in a cast but some of us didn't really know it was that serious. It kinda is. A scan after the match showed that he literally broke his arm after being hit by a fierce shot from Ogenyi Onazi. (see pic on the right). He's been ruled out of the 2014 World Cup.

Onazi was aiming to score a goal with the long-range shot but the ball cannoned into Babatunde's arm. The video of the incident is kinda graphic though.

Topic: BEWARE OF COVETOUSNESS (Thursday, June 25, 2014)

Memorise: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15 

Read: Luke 12:13-15

13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. 

14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 

Message:

One of the challenges of the 21st century world and the Church in particular is covetousness. Worldliness is now the greatest foe of the Church and it seems leaders are becoming helpless in this regard. The amazing thing is that this seemingly helpless situation had been spoken of by the Lord of the Church - Jesus Christ, and by His early apostles. It is therefore incorrect to think that the present situation is irredeemable. Jesus warned us against covetousness in Luke 12:13-15. It is surprising to hear Jesus indirectly telling His audience that the man who came to complain about his brother’s overbearing attitude was covetous. Not many people will understand this except by divine revelation. In other words, it appears in this passage that the complainant was asking for too much! It takes covetousness to ask for too much. The vanity in being covetous is that the life of a man is neither made more meaningful nor pleasant by the abundance of his material possessions. The Bible in Ecclesiastes 5:10-11 says:

 “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?” 

Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote to warn us against the menace of worldliness and covetousness. He encouraged us to embrace godliness with contentment which, he said, is great gain. He further wrote in 1 Timothy 6:9 that:

“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” 

Beloved, how far have you been dragged into the world? How far has the world been dragged into you? Those things that did not matter to you years back, are they not what you are running after now? Remember that the rich people of yesterday ran into the Church before they could have peace and satisfaction. They envied believers and came to share in our heritage. Good for them, but bad for those of us who have thrown away the peace and joy that money cannot buy for the vanity of this world. 

Key Point:

Check your life to find out whether the trio of lusts – the lust of the flesh, of the eye and the pride of life are present. Determine to mortify them for everlasting joy and peace.

Vampire Luis Suarez 'Bites' Italy Defender during World Cup Match (Video)

Uruguayan footballer Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz who plays as a forward for Premier League club Liverpool has caused another storm, after apparently biting an opponent for the 3rd time in less than four years, in a controversial World Cup incident.

During Uruguay's must-win World Cup match against Italy, Suarez was involved in a clash with Italy's Giorgio Chiellini, and apparently took a bite of the Azzurri defender's shoulder. Television replays showed him apparently biting Giorgio Chiellini's shoulder and it happened about a minute before Uruguay's Diego Godín scored in the 81st, lifting Uruguay past Italy, 1-0. see photos of Luis Alberto Suárez bitting the player include his past bite photos.

Immediately after the clash, Chiellini pulled his shirt down to protest the bite, showing the referee the alleged bite mark on his shoulder but no action was taken by the official. Instead, Suarez, 27, went to ground holding his mouth, apparently suggesting he had been elbowed.

Suarez now faces another possible ban - 24 matches or two years after serving two previous suspensions in his career for biting opponents.
