Ohanaeze Ndigbo Tells MASSOB That Disintegrating Is Not The Best For Igbos'

National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, Okechukwu Isiguzoro
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth wing, has told the leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra that seceding from Nigeria, as being agitated by the group, would not be in the interest of the Igbo.

Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, stated this on Saturday at a press conference in Umuahia, Abia State, to disclose plans for this year’s Igbo Youths Day slated for Monday in Umuahia.

Isiguzoro said it is better for Ndigbo to remain in Nigeria and struggle for their fair share of the ‘national cake’ than fight for self-determination with its attendant consequences.

He noted that Igbos having be patient enough, should wait till 2019, when it will be their turn to produce a Nigerian President, adding that only a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction can heal the wounds of Biafra.

Isiguzoro called for the unconditionally release of all members of MASSOB, detained in various prisons across the country, by the Federal Government.

  3. Let's b frank, if Biafra is achieved, it will b very difficult for dem to get demselve together cos some people r already looking for how to take over their business in their state by force. And let us not forget, anywhere u go and could not find a single igbo man there, my brother, the place is not good for u. I hope some people can understand this.
