President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick disclosed that the federation has got the green light from its match agent and that the Super Eagles will go up against the South American nation in a warm-up match.
“The plan of this NFF is to bring A-grade matches to the Akwa Ibom International Stadium. This federation’s plan is to bring the best of football to the country, in order to help showcase our talented footballers to the whole world. In fact we just got a letter from our partner stating that we will be playing Brazil on 29 March next year.”Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio had lifted the lid on the Brazil friendly when he announced the friendly for next year in his speech to open the Nest of Champions on Friday.
Last time Nigeria played hosts to Brazil in an international friendly in June 2003, at the National Stadium in Abuja, the South Americans triumphed 3-0.
