Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service arrived the scene around 11am having been called by residents. An official of the State Fire Service said, as soon as men of the service got to the scene of the incident, they learnt that the man had been recovered dead and his remains taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital.
Confirming the incident, the Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, disclosed that the agency would soon summon a meeting of stakeholders in the state so as to look into the increased rate of drowning in wells while finding a permanent solution.
