Finally, Senate Screens Ministerial Nominee Aisha Abubakar

The Senate, today, screened Aisha Abubakar from Sokoto at the on going ministerial screening.
Senators from Sokoto state have finally endorsed the ministerial nomination of Aisha Abubakar and urge the senate to screen and confirm her nominee.

She was also the last ministerial nominee to be screened by the Senate today.

In a letter signed by Ibrahim Gobir (Sokoto east), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto north) and Ibrahim Abdullahi (Sokoto south), and read by Senate President Bukola Saraki on the floor of the chamber, the lawmakers said they were endorsing the nomination of Abubakar as minister from the state after due consultation with their constituencies.

‎The senators had earlier submitted a petition to the senate challenging the nomination of Abubakar on the grounds that she was incompetent.
