40 Year Old Bricklayer Shot Dead By Bayelsan Farmer For Sleeping With His Wife

A man on Tuesday, shot a 40-year-old bricklayer, Priye Bernard, to death at Odi in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State for allegedly catching him having sex with his wife in a farm. 

The late bricklayer, it was gathered, followed the woman to the farm to harvest cassava, and was allegedly having sex with her when her husband arrived. The woman’s husband then shot the bricklayer with a locally made gun.

According to sources in the community, the corpse of late Priye Bernard has been deposited at Ebidom mortuary in Odi, while the police in Odi have arrested the wife of the Isoko man to assist in investigation into the matter. 

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Asinim Butwats, said the command was not yet aware of the incident.
