As at Friday night, Nigeria had garnered a total of 144 medals and a couple of medals were still won on Saturday prior to the closing ceremony. South Africa came third with a total of 122 medals–41 gold, 41 silver and 40 bronze medals.
The closing ceremony, held at Sports Complex at Kintele, Brazzaville, was fantastic even though almost marred by heavy rain.
