The shocking footage appears to have been caught by an onlooker positioned across the road from the cafe, watching the couple as they sat in chairs by the full-length window on an upstairs floor.
In the video, the woman is seen moving in her chair several times as her boyfriend appears to hold out his phone and film her actions. A passer-by is spotted walking beneath the window but appears oblivious to the couple.
According to information posted alongside the video, the clip was captured in Beirut, Lebanon, but the exact location of the coffee shop remains unclear. The footage has been shared on several viral video sites where it has clocked up more than 68,000 views.
