See What Nigerian Army Did To Pardoned Soldiers

The Nigerian Army has deployed 3,032 pardoned soldiers in the North-East to fight Boko Haram insurgents. The 3,032 soldiers were among 5,000 dismissed soldiers whose cases were reviewed by a military panel led by the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Maj. Gen. Adeniyi Oyebade.

The soldiers were said to have been sent to the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, following the completion of a two-week reorientation training program organized for them at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, Niger State.

The affected soldiers were dismissed from the military in 2014 for allegedly disobeying their commanders and for reportedly declining to confront the insurgents with inadequate weapons.
