The eldest son of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum this morning died of a heart attack. He was aged 33 years old.
Al Maktoum's funeral will be held later on today. Prayers will be held at Zabeel mosque on Saturday evening and he will then be buried in Umm Harir cemetery in Bur Dubai.
The Court of the Ruler of Dubai also declared three days of mourning in Dubai from Saturday, and flags will be at half-mast at government departments and institutions. Work at Dubai government entities would, however, continue as usual,
Rashid's father is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the ruler of Dubai and also the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
