President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Dominic Ojiabor Abonyi as Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria.
A statement issued on Tuesday evening by EHORECON’s Head (Press and Public Communications), Mr. Kehinde Openibo, said the appointment took effect from September 3, 2015 as stipulated by the provisions of the Public Service Rule and other Regulations of Federal Republic of Nigeria in Furtherance of the provisions of Environmental Health Officers (Registration etc) Act, 2002.
Until his appointment, Abonyi was the agency Head, Department of Registration, Ethics, Standard and Enforcement and acting Registrar, following the expiration of the tenure of Mr. Augustine Ebisike on August 14, 2015.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Nigeria, Nsuka and also a Masters in Pharmaceutical Microbiology from the same University.
