Pastor And Muslim Cleric Got Jailed For Stealing Fertilizer In Ekiti (See Photo)

A Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor identified as Anjorin Adanikin and a Muslim cleric, Maliu Aliyu were both sentenced to 1 year in prison today at an Ado Ekiti Magistrates court for stealing 1800 bags of fertilizers meant for distribution to farmer in Emure Local Government of Ekiti State.

The commodity was supposed to be sold to farmers at the official price of N2,750 per bag which the accused connived to sell to them at the rate of N3,500 per bag valued at the rate of N9 million.

The stolen quantity was three trailer loads of fertilizer which was sent to the council area by government to boost the yield of local farmers, but the accused diverted excess profit into their private businesses. The accused committed the offense between May & June of 2013.
