The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the June/July 2015 results. An improvement of 16 per cent in credits in English and Mathematics was recorded.
The NECO Registrar, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, while announcing the results, on Thursday in Minna, Niger State, said that 68.56 per cent of candidates got more than five credits this year. According to him, the 2015 result was an improvement from 2014 when 52.29 got above five credits.
Garba said that out of the 969,991 candidates that registered, 969,491 sat for the examination while 0.11 per cent cases of malpractice were recorded. He added that the results of candidates involved had been cancelled while schools involved have been blacklisted. The registrar said that the council was able to sustain its timely release of results in less than 60 days from the date the last paper was written.
