More Trouble For Dasuki As 5 Witnesses To Testify For FG Against Him

Five witnesses will be called by the Federal Government in its case of illegal possession of firearms against former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd).

Illegal firearms were recovered from the home of Dasuki, who was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

Dasuki’s possession of the arms, were said to have violated provisions of section 27(1)(a)(i) of the Firearms Act, Cap F28, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

The five witnesses to testify against him are operatives of the Department of State Services, who were part of the team that conducted a search operation at Dasuki’s residence at 13, John Khadiya Street, Asokoro, Abuja, on July 16, 2015.

The leader of the search team at Dasuki’s residence, Dahiru Dodo, and the investigating officer in the case, Musa Duniyo, were named as witnesses in the prosecution’s list.

The three other DSS operatives, who will also testify against Dasuki, are Ali Gurara, Samuel Ogbu and Franklyn Usman.
