The latest edition of EA Sports' revered football franchise, FIFA 16, may not be out for another couple of weeks, but the video game title is already causing a stir.
The Vancouver-based video game maker tweeted out its ratings for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the hotly anticipated FIFA 16, and if their numbers are a measuring stick, Barcelona's No. 10 should prepare to pick up another Ballon d'Or this January.
Messi edges Ronaldo by a solitary point, earning vastly higher marks in dribbling and passing. Real Madrid's No. 7 is ranked significantly higher in shooting, physicality and defence, while EA Sports rates the world's two best players identically in terms of pace.
Even though cigarette smokers of London give Ronaldo the edge, perhaps the world's most recognisable football video game gives the honours to Messi -- just barely.
Good one for him...I wonder if we can still produce players like tthid two ever again.
