The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT’s proposed arrest of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, was on Monday morning stopped by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
The tribunal had on Friday issued the warrant for Saraki’s arrest following his failure to honor its invitation. Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, had directed the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to effect the arrest of Saraki and produce him before the Tribunal on Monday.
But as at Sunday, the police said it was yet to receive official communication from the Tribunal regarding Saraki’s arrest.
This is Nigeria, anything can happen and they will do everything to scatter this trial. But Nigerians are well informed now and would want to know where this is heading
