Sierra Leone's last Ebola patient, Adama Sankoh, who contracted the deadly Ebola virus after her 23-year-old son died from the disease late last month -danced with joy and happiness as the people rolled out a 'red carpet' in her honour after she was discharged recently.
With her release the country begins a 42-day countdown to being declared free of the virus that has killed nearly 4,000 people there. The President of Sierra Leone was at the celebrations, as was Vanessa Wolfman, the local International Medical Corps' Emergency Medical Director.
