Armed men suspected to be indigenes of Ibaji in Kogi State yesterday beheaded two persons on their farms at Eziagulu Otu, near Orient Petroleum Resources Limited in Anambra East Local Government Area while four others sustained varied levels of injuries.
The gunmen who were said to have been well armed took the farmers unawares and in an attempt to flee to safety, some ran into a river.
The assailants caught 6 persons, beheaded two and left four others injured. Confirming the incident, the Anambra State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hosea Karma, said his men in partnership with the Kogi State Police Command have waded into the matter so as to forestall further violence.
