How Armed Robbery Suspect Fatally Injured After Heavy Shootout With Policemen In Asaba Today

Today, Police received distress call of armed robbery from residents leaving behind Orchid Hotel Asaba. Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the area, there was a shootout between the Police and the hoodlums met in the act at the scene.

One of the armed robbery suspects was fatally injured while other gang members fled the scene with gunshot wounds. All victims were safely rescued, empty shell of ammunition/cartridges recovered at the scene. Search operations of surrounding bushes and buildings for possible arrest of fleeing suspects are ongoing. State CIID Asaba is investigating.
