UNICAL Student Arrested For Stealing Land Rover Jeep

A 400 level Mathematics and Statistic student of the University of Calabar, Emen Asuquo, has been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command, for allegedly stealing an SUV Land Rover Jeep.

While parading the student criminal, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Hogan Bassey, said that Asuquo who hails from Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was nabbed at the Lemna junction, 8 Miles Calabar, after he stole the car from its owner, Udoh Archibong, who had laid a complaint to the police about the stolen car.

Archibong, an automobile mechanic at No 26, Target by Goldie Street, said he left the car at his workshop to buy spare parts but before he came back, the car was no longer there.

He immediately he called the State Anti Robbery Squad and reported the case and the officers swung into action and interception Asuquo as he was about driving the car out of the state.
