Isaiah Opeyemi, 19, and Isah Adebayo, 28, both tailors, live at No 17, Musibakata St., Abule-Egba, a suburb of Lagos. They face charges of conspiracy, abduction and defilement.
The prosecutor, Insp. Rachael Williams told the court that the accused committed the offences between July 8 and July 19 at their residence, NAN reports.
According to Williams, the victim ran away from home because she lost her auntie’s bucket and was seen by the first accused at about 10.30 p.m.
William said, “The duo abducted the girl, and the second accused slept with her several times until she was sighted by a family friend and later traced to the hideout by the police.”.
He said the offences contravened Sections 137, 141 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
Ruling on the bail application of the accused, the Chief Magistrate, Tajudeen Elias, granted the duo bail of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum. Further hearing in the case has been adjourned to Aug. 5.
