Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State says the drop in allocations to the state from the Federation Account is largely responsible for his inability to pay his state civil servants their salaries.
Aregbesola said this after he received an award by the Voice of African Women for Human Dignity, an NGO at Abuja yesterday July 24th.
"I have found it hard to pay the wage bills owing to the declining federal allocation to the state. Federal allocation to the state has reduced by 40 per cent since 2013, thereby making it difficult for my government to meet its responsibilities,” he said.
When allocation high una no dey increase salary o, buh when e drop small una go say na him mk. Una no pay salary. If u ask him now he still collects his security votes that should b running into billions. Allocation no dey affect una own lie lie. Smh. Hmmm! "Uwaifo don talk e own o".
